Chassis 9172 8-slot Timer/Counter Module needed

We would like to read 3 pulse genetations (contact pulses) from different devices.

We have Chassis 9172 and we have been told to use the slot 5 or 6 for that purpouse. the manual says that we can read up to 2 pulses in the slot 5 or 6.

We would like to know if we can install the module 9435-4 inputs in one slot in this chassis.
